Kathryn Bowers

Kathryn is our finance guru and is based at our Reading HQ. She joined the team in July 2018 as a finance manager before moving to her current role in November 2019. Kathryn’s day-to-day involves managing all functions of the finance team, budgeting and forecasting, and providing analysis and advice to her colleagues on the senior leadership team.

Kathryn has a strong background in logistics and has spent the majority of her career in the sector. Despite not studying a financial qualification at University, Kathryn has shown that experience and training is a more than adequate replacement as she has become an invaluable member of the team.
Kathryn’s main achievement has been growing a tight-knit finance team. Of the 4-person team, two are new hires since Kathryn took the role on and all four are now a great unit. During the challenging Covid times, Kathryn has ensured her team have all remained in regular contact. The group uses Teams to check in each day, while quiz nights and office lunches enabled more informal get-togethers. Kathryn also ensured that daily check-ups weren’t solely about work, making them a space where her team could chat about their personal lives and support each other’s wellbeing.

Kathryn looks after her 4-year-old son and new puppy in her spare time (if you can call it that!). Thanks to her son, this has become a leading authority on Peppa Pig. She and her family also enjoy being out and about when possible and living an active lifestyle.
