Simon Darvall

Simon has been in the business for over thirty years and has built BMG into the business it is today. He would have us all believe he is just a simple lorry driver, but in reality, Simon is the most astute and inspiring Chairman the business could have.

Simon is still very hands on and spends every day in the office. He is an intuitive leader with a knack for spotting talent and nurturing people to help them reach their potential – current MD Rachel Houghton is a prime example. He is a big believer in employing people better than himself for roles and remains an active mentor to Rachel and other senior leaders today.

Outside of work, Simon enjoys playing an active role in his community and is a warden at his local church. He has a philanthropic streak, has a strong sense of family and enjoys playing football in the garden with his children.
