Business Moves Group (BMG), the workplace change specialists, has won the Partners in Relocation award for its work with Aviva at the PFM Awards 2020. BMG has worked with Aviva, the UK’s biggest insurance firm, since 2013. During this time the partnership has gone from strength to strength, with additional support provided during the pandemic.

BMG first started working with Aviva to deliver the physical element moves with the rest being handled in-house. The partnership following a detailed review of in-house moves management, with BMG offering a highly-flexible model that improved efficiency and reduced costs. Since then, BMG has supported Aviva with a number of workplace and change management projects.

The recent COVID 19 pandemic demonstrates the partnership’s importance. The BMG team simultaneously planned, mobilised, and delivered significant workplace changes in Aviva workplaces across the country, including Norwich, London, Sheffield and Glasgow.

Together, BMG and Aviva implemented a resilience plan to ensure continuity of customer service across all business functions. This was vital in keeping people together during times of isolation and uncertainty.

Rachel Houghton, managing director at BMG, commented: “We couldn’t be happier with the award. Over the last year we’ve operated closely with the Aviva Property & Facilities team to introduce significant culture changes and cost efficiencies. It’s fantastic to be recognised by industry leaders for our success in developing better working behaviours and allowing relationships to develop from contract supplier to an integrated partnership. We look forward to a long relationship with Aviva and continued success.”

The PFM Partnership Awards recognise the essential requirements in forging effective partnerships in the FM industry and have been running since 2007.
