Business Moves Group (BMG), the UK’s dedicated office and commercial relocation change management company, has joined Minority Supplier Development UK (MSDUK) as a corporate member. The benefits available to members will help BMG to achieve its diversity goals through access to the most diverse network of ethnic minority owned businesses (EMBs) in the UK.

Tapping into MSDUK’s global network and knowledge sessions of over 500 procurement professionals, BMG will now be in a position to develop a strong supplier diversity programme. BMG will be able to assess the progress made by its practices with the MSDUK Supplier Diversity Benchmarking tool, engage with the most innovative start-ups in MSDUK’s network, and further future proof the business. BMG’s goal of improving diversity by advancing its supply chain with new ideas, products, and solutions will be aided by the fact that the EMB’s represent more than 30 industry sectors.

MSDUK has worked with over 125 global brands and more than 3,000 EMBs since 2006. Its dedication and support to diversity and ethnicity has seen it secure £800 million worth of business for EMBs. With 1 in 6 businesses in the UK minority led, representing over 16 % of all SMEs, diversity helps supply chains become more competitive and profitable. Companies with higher-than-average diversity can see a 19% increase in revenue, whilst also taking advantage of an alternate supply chain that brings new solutions and benefits.

Rachel Houghton, managing director at BMG, said: “We’ve set ourselves high standards when it comes to achieving diversity goals, and with MSDUK by our side we look forward to expanding our supply chains. The nature of office relocations is that we work across numerous industries, and as such we’re in a unique position to support diverse suppliers throughout the UK.”

Mayank Shah, founder and CEO, MSDUK commented: “We are delighted to welcome BMG to our growing network of British firms that are joining us with the single mission of driving economic inclusion through their supplier diversity programmes. We look forward to working closely with the BMG team to open up multiple supply chain opportunities for ethnic minority businesses from across the UK.”
